Cleansing your Gemstone is just as important as choosing them. Gemstone are energy absorbers. They can collect negative, stagnant, or residual energy from you, your environment, or other people. That’s why regular cleansing and refreshing is essential — to keep your stones energetically fresh and effective.
At Canvas Gemstone , we encourage all our customers to cleanse their Gemstone before the first use and periodically afterward. Think of it like “resetting” the stone to its purest vibration.
Moonlight Bath:
The Full Moon is the perfect time to cleanse and refresh your Gemstone. Place them outside or on a windowsill overnight to absorb lunar energy. Best for: Amethyst, Quartz, Selenite.
Salt Water Soak:
Mix sea salt with water in a glass bowl and place your Gemstone in it for a few hours. Be careful — this method is not safe for soft stones like Selenite, Malachite, or Lapis Lazuli.
Smoke Cleansing:
Use sage, palo santo, or herbal incense. Pass the Gemstone through the smoke for 1–2 minutes. This method is great for all Gemstone.
Sound Energy Balance:
Use a Tibetan singing bowl, tuning fork, or sacred chanting to cleanse with vibration. Ideal for group cleansing.
Selenite Charging Plate:
Selenite itself is a cleansing stone. Placing other Gemstone on a Selenite slab overnight purifies and refreshes them simultaneously.
